Compact Home Designs

Our small house designs are ideal for narrow or compact lots, with both budget-conscious and luxury facades options available for each house floor plan. These house designs start at 160m² and have been carefully designed to comply with strict boundary setbacks while maximising space. Don’t be fooled – these plans are small but mighty and packed with
mod-cons.

Standard Lot Designs

AREI standard lot floor plans cater to the ‘typical’ suburban Aussie lot. Generally a ‘standard lot’ is about 12m-16m wide and 25-40m deep. Ranging from 2 bedrooms to 5 bedrooms, many of our standard lot designs include two to three living spaces such as theatre, rumpus and kids areas. Many floor plans also include study nooks, mudrooms and butler’s pantries.

Wide Lot Designs

Our wide lot designs, starting from approximately 16m in width are perfect for lots with wide frontages or corner lots. These home designs have the same great features as our standard lot designs. There are plenty of layouts to choose between, from compact square footprints to sprawling U-shaped or L-shaped layouts.

Acreage Lot Designs

Ever popular, our acreage home design range includes a number of stunning floor plans and facades that will bring your rural home dreams to life. Choose from a modern house façade or a more traditional country-style façade. There are also Hampton’s home designs and barn style options – you do you!

Home Designs for Australia

AREI house designs are created for all Australian locations. Each home design meets National Construction Code standards and includes passive home design principles that work for all different site orientations and layouts. Each floor plan has been specially designed to work for specific solar orientation, dependent on your local climate. The design can be mirrored and rotated to make the most of prevailing breezes, solar exposure (as is applicable for your climate zone), plus any site views or particular site features.

When you choose a house floor plan and proceed to preparing building approval and construction drawings, we customise your home design to ensure it complies with all local building regulations incorporates all design features you have in mind.
