Natasha

Natasha

Director & building Designer

Often serious and a touch reserved when you first meet her, our Director Natasha’s passion for home design runs deep. She loves to create beautiful yet functional spaces, gets a kick out of mastering layouts that are efficient in their use of space and spends possibly too much time considering how to achieve better design outcomes for all home owners regardless of their budget.

Natasha has been working as a designer since 2011, holds a Bachelor in Building Design (Honours) and holds Queensland. Victorian & Tasmanian Open Building Design licenses which enable her to design buildings throughout Australia.

In her downtime she loves to read novels (especially ones with historical story lines), or delve further into the most irresistible of topics – home design! You’ll also find her adding to her garden, creating a green backdrop for her and Logan’s abode.

Her ideal weekend is spent outdoors with her husband, young son and dogs, spending plenty of time in the water.

Oliver

Oliver

DESIGN MANAGER

Heading up our Design team, Oliver’s cool, calm demeanour and extensive industry knowledge has also earned him the unofficial title of office ‘expert’ for any of those tricky construction or energy rating questions.  As Arei’s Design Manager Ollie boasts over 15 years in design, drafting and energy assessing and has worked on projects across all of Australia.

Starting his career by studying Building Design, Oliver took his love of sustainable, passive, energy efficient design to the next level, studying further and adding the accreditation of Thermal Performance Assessor. Additionally, Oliver dabbles in home theatre design and sound engineering and has single handedly remastered most of his friends and family’s entertainment and sound systems.

Residing in stunning Tasmania, Ollies weekends are spend chasing the weather and swell along the amazing coastlines, surfing all year round in the icy colds of The Tasman and Southern Oceans, (most of the Arei Team think he is just a little crazy). With family on board the ideal weekend (when not attending kids sports) for Ollie and his crew is spent camping, touring, and exploring all Tasmania has to offer.

Logan

Logan

GENERAL MANAGER

Our General Manager, unofficial ‘director of fun’ and IT guru, Logan started his career as a carpenter in Melbourne before moving to tropical north Queensland 12 years ago. Known in his trade for his careful workmanship, though he no longer builds for a living, his eye for detail carries through all he does, and serves him equally well in his work with Arei.

Logan isn’t one to hang around on the dark side for too long – he balances his responsibilities with a general cheeriness – even on the busiest of days he makes time for a little banter or a quick joke!

Logan is a qualified personal trainer (though he won’t ever tell you himself), holds a wealth of knowledge on computers and enjoys a side of gaming on the weekends.

Living in Townsville with his wife and boss (!!), baby boy Dustin and ultra-energetic Kelpies, he loves to make the most of the sunny, warm weather with bike rides, runs and exploring a Aussie great outdoors.

Introducing Andrew our ‘Archviz’ Whiz!!

Andrew’s career started with the completion of dual Diplomas in Multimedia and Screen.  His passion for perfection and vast experience in producing animations, 3D fly throughs and still images for a variety of clients has given Andrew the skill to turn your design into a realistic high-quality 3D visual presentation.

As the newest member of the Arei Designs family, Andrew joined the team at a very exciting time, as we expanded our already extensive design, drafting and consulting services portfolio to include Architectural Visualisation (Archviz).

Jocelyn

PROJECTS CO-ORDINATOR
+ INTERIOR DESIGNER

Hailing from the Maritimes regions on the East Coast of Canada, our Project Administrator and Interior Design Consultant, Jocelyn has called Sunny Queensland home since 2007.

Jocelyn has over 15 years’ experience as a consulting Interior Designer working with Builders and their clients to select and finalise both internal and external finishes, always with the goal to ensure their future houses are a special place to call ‘Home’.

Aside from the important role of liaising with our clients and managing our designers schedules, Jocelyn, with her finger on the pulse of design, works closely with our ‘Archviz’ whiz Andrew to produce quality internal & external 3D renders and virtual tours.

Her love of design, especially interiors, has extended back to her childhood, spending many weekends in her bedroom organising, decorating, and avoiding the cold Nova Scotia winters. Like any passionate designer her home continues to be her canvas and her creative sanctuary.

With her husband and young family in tow, Jocelyn’s ideal weekend is spent at the family’s creek ‘bach’, crabbing and fishing or out on the beautiful blue water of FNQ in their boat exploring the Islands and fringing reef.

Arei Designs

Karli

building DESIGNER

With a love of Heritage Architecture, Karli is equally as comfortable working in the design office as on site in work boots crawling under houses measuring and documenting for renovations.……in fact we think the latter is her preferred day!!

Starting her working career in another field, Karli’s choice to study Building Design, chasing her love for design and construction, is one she has never looked back on!!! Her effervescent personality and loyal, hardworking ways keep her in high esteem with both the Arei team and her clients.

She brings to the Arei Design team, a background in renovation and extension design particularly in and around the Heritage suburbs of Brisbane. Her experience doesn’t end there, however, she also has a love of contemporary design, focusing on simplicity and liveability.

With her family and Frank the Boxer, Karli’s ultimate weekends are those spent by the water –  swimming, fishing and stand up paddle boarding.

Brendon

Brendon

building DESIGNER

Brendon brings with him a dry sense of humour and industrious nature with a enthusiasm for putting systems in place.

Having studied an Advanced Diploma of Building Design (Architectural) Brendon has a keen interest in sustainable and modular design and is inspired by Mid-century Modern Architecture and interiors.   On joining the team, he fast became Arei Designs Revit guru and office ‘go to’. He focuses on delivering outstanding results with clarity, quality and attention to detail.

Brendon has also lived in several countries and developed a strong local vernacular appreciation and relishes in areas that have a distinct local style…….needless to say his favourite place is Palm Springs.

Based in beautiful Brisbane, a favourite pastime is walking his Dachshunds, Chester & Gracie, through the hilly inner-city suburbs and gaining appreciation and exploring the history of the Queenslanders and local architecture.

Casey Lee

Casey-Lee

building & interior designer

Bubbly and smiley are the first thing you notice on meeting Casey Lee, but don’t be fooled she is also fastidious, methodical, focussed on detail and brings a great balance to the team.

Casey Lee holds a Double Diploma in Building & Interior Design and while her experience since graduating has been mainly in Building Design, she has a genuine love of Interior Design. Developing her passion at a young age, she was always changing her bedroom and moving furniture around the home to create ‘balanced and functional’ spaces.

Weekends for Casey-Lee are all about family. Whether its spending time at the local farmers market buying fresh produce for her growing tribe or travelling in their caravan to spend the weekend watching her Dad performing at one of the many Country Music festivals…family is her number 1.
